Between service and customer are located.  All contact is made using a
Smartphone application.    No money changes hands.  Riders have their credit cards

Tipping is expected or solicited, although tips can be accepted if the rider chooses to do
So.   No vehicles or buildings or parking space are owned by Uber, thus there is
no major overhead to the company.    The only other expenditures are the cost of those who monitor Their operation and whatever Business records are required.  Drivers are paid by direct deposit to their checking accounts every Thursday.   Uber assumes the position of being direct support for their drivers and takes the responsibility for handling any problems encountered by them as well.   There is a 5star system for rating

Uber began in 2010 In San Francisco and now has outposts in 300 cities/55countries.
It has raised more than $1.5billion and is valued at $17billion, according to
The New York Times.   The company plans to bring 50,000 vets/service members/ their spouses to drive for them in the nEar future.  It has recently hired Joe Sullivan as it’s first Chief Security Officer.   Along with all the positives it is also bringing with it much
controversy among state Legislators.   In January it was cleared to operate in South Carolina until June 30th.  Many questions arose concerning competition
Between standard cab/limosine services and the rules by which those companies
Are required to adhere as opposed to the lack of rules for Uber.    The company
Contends that it is only a technology company that links drivers/passengers and
Should not operate under the same classification as cab companies.   Although
Uber presently operates out of Charleston/Columbia/Greenville/Myrtle Beach
in South Carolina, Georgia has not given the same permission. However, at the Saint Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah Bud Light and Southern Eagle beer offered free green beer and free Uber rides to the Crowd.   In New Jersey Uber is presently operating and is donating $1 from Every fare  to MADD.

It would appear that their signature saying:
“AVAILABLE LOCALLY/EXPANDING GLOBALLY ”
Is like the old Buten’s paint trademark: THE PAINT THAT COVERS THE WORLD .
Only it plans to do it more quickly……….
